Privacy Policy

How our app for iPhone and iPad handles your information — what we process, what stays on your device, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Section 01Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how IGLO LABS COMPANY LIMITED (“we”, “us”) processes information in our app on iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to collecting only what the service needs. By installing or using the app you agree to this policy; the authoritative version is linked from the app's Settings tab and from the App Store listing, and we keep it consistent with the App Store privacy “nutrition” label.

In short. We don't log your browsing. We don't sell your data. The Wi-Fi quality tools measure your network locally and keep the results on your device. The app runs a VPN, a Wi-Fi quality meter, a speed test and a leak test — it has no ad-blocking or content-filtering feature.

Section 02What the app does

The app provides:

  • A VPN connection using IKEv2/IPsec on Apple's NetworkExtension framework, to encrypt traffic between your device and a server you choose.
  • Wi-Fi quality tools that score the network you're on, a walk test, a local device scan and public IP details.
  • A speed test (ping, download, upload) and an IP / DNS leak test.

Section 03Data we process

To run and maintain the service we process:

  • An anonymous device identifier to register your device and assign it a connection and entitlement (free or Premium).
  • Technical and diagnostic data — device model, iOS version, app version, language, region, network type — and, in aggregate, connection volume for capacity planning.
  • The Advertising Identifier (IDFA), only if you permit tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt (see Section 08).
  • Purchase state (not card details) to unlock and restore Premium through the App Store.

The app does not require a name, email address or payment identity to function. Payment is handled by Apple, not by us.

Section 04Your IP address

When you connect, your device's current IP address is processed by the VPN server to set up and maintain the tunnel. We use it only to provide the VPN session. We do not use it to build a profile of your browsing, we do not sell it, and we do not keep persistent logs that link your IP address to the sites or content you access.

Section 05Wi-Fi quality tools

The Wi-Fi quality feature helps you understand the network you're on. Everything it measures stays on your device — the readings are displayed locally and are not sent to us or stored between sessions.

How the score is measured

iOS does not give apps the Wi-Fi radio's signal level, so the app instead times short connections to a public resolver and derives latency, jitter and dropped probes. No personal data is sent in these probes, and nothing is uploaded.

Wi-Fi network name (Location permission)

Because a Wi-Fi network name can identify a place, Apple treats it as location data and only lets apps with Location permission at full accuracy read it. The app requests location access solely to read the Wi-Fi name for display. Your position is never recorded or uploaded, and every other feature works if you decline. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Device scan (Local Network permission)

The optional device scan lists other devices on your local network by probing common ports and reading names your device has already discovered. iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time. The scan runs entirely on your device and its results are never uploaded.

IP details

The IP details view looks up the public address you appear as and shows approximate, block-level geographic and network information (ASN, ISP, city, region, country) from public IP databases. It describes the address block, not you, and is approximate by nature.

Section 06On-device data

Some data stays only on your device and is never uploaded: your usage statistics (protected time, data totals, the daily chart and session history), your speed-test and leak-test results, and app preferences such as theme, language and selected server. Turning off Save session history in Settings stops recording and clears what's stored.

Section 07What we don't collect

We do not record or store your browsing history; the URLs or domains you visit; the content of traffic passing through the VPN; message contents; passwords; your photos, videos or files; or traffic logs. We do not track or log your browsing activity.

Section 08Advertising & tracking

The free version may show ads through Google AdMob. iOS requires apps to ask before using your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising: if you allow tracking through the App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may use your IDFA to deliver and measure ads under Google's Privacy Policy. Declining costs you nothing — every feature stays available — and you can change your answer any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Premium removes ads shown by the app.

Section 09Analytics & crash reporting

We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage and performance in aggregate, and Firebase Crashlytics to collect diagnostics when the app crashes so we can fix problems. This is used to improve the app and is not used by us to identify you personally.

Section 10Permissions we ask for

  • VPN configuration — required by iOS before any app can open a tunnel; you approve it once and can delete it in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
  • Location (While Using, full accuracy) — optional, used only to read the Wi-Fi network name.
  • Local Network — optional, used only for the on-device device scan.
  • Tracking (ATT) — optional, for personalised ads only.

Each is optional except the VPN configuration, and the core VPN works without the others.

Section 11Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing. Limited technical data may be processed by the following providers, each under its own privacy policy:

  • Apple (App Store distribution and billing)
  • Google AdMob (advertising, free version)
  • Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (analytics, crash reporting)
  • Our VPN server and hosting providers

We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.

Section 12Data retention

We keep technical, analytics and diagnostic data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or aggregate it so it no longer identifies you. On-device data stays until you turn it off, clear it, or delete the app. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained for up to 14 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated so it no longer identifies you. To remove everything, delete the app and remove the VPN profile in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management; contact us if you'd like your device record deleted on our side.

Section 13International transfers

VPN servers and our providers operate in multiple countries, so your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers' standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

Section 14Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising in the CCPA sense. To exercise a right, contact us using Section 17; we respond as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

Section 15Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Section 16Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service, technology or the law. The new version takes effect when published in the app or on our website, and we will update the “Last updated” date above.
